The best women's singles players in the world go head-to-head. China, Japan and Korea tend to dominate this category, but upsets can happen in any round. Set handicap markets are particularly compelling here.
Malaysia is a world powerhouse in Men's Doubles. Pairs like Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik carry enormous expectations into every tournament. Doubles matches frequently produce nail-biting third sets and outstanding in-play betting opportunities.
Chinese and Korean women's pairs are consistently among the favorites in this category. The speed of exchanges and partnership coordination make WD some of the most exciting badminton to watch and bet on.
A male and female player competing together as a pair. Coordination and communication between partners are the keys to success. Malaysia has a long history in this category, and Mixed Doubles markets at 96ace frequently offer highly competitive odds.
The Thomas Cup (men's), Uber Cup (women's) and Sudirman Cup (mixed) are the most prestigious team championships in world badminton. Malaysia is a serious contender in all three, and matches against China or Indonesia are always must-watch encounters.
If there is one sport that is truly woven into the soul of Malaysians, it is badminton. Unlike football, which relies heavily on overseas competitions to capture widespread attention, badminton is a sport where Malaysia has long stood as a respected world power. Names like Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Razif Sidek, Jalani Sidek, Rashid Sidek and now Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are more than just athletes – they are national heroes who have brought joy to millions of Malaysians every time they step onto the court.
This is why badminton betting at 96ace carries a different dimension compared to other sports. When you bet on Lee Zii Jia to defeat Viktor Axelsen at the Malaysia Open, it is more than just a financial transaction – it is an expression of belief in a player who represents your country on the world stage. That emotion makes every match feel more alive, and 96ace understands this sentiment by providing the most comprehensive betting experience for Malaysia's most beloved sport.
From a betting perspective, badminton offers several unique advantages. First, the scoring structure is clear-cut – 21 points per set, best of three, with a definitive winner for each set. This makes set-by-set markets especially attractive for live betting. When you're watching a match and you can see one player building momentum, you can capitalise on that through in-play betting at 96ace updated after every point.
Second, badminton is a sport where comebacks happen frequently and without warning. A player down 5-15 in a set can still come back and take it. A team that loses the first set badly can turn things around and win the match. This unpredictability cuts both ways – it makes matches more thrilling to watch, and at the same time creates value opportunities in live markets that often fail to reflect the true state of play.
At 96ace, Malaysian badminton fans gain access to a far broader range of markets beyond simple win or lose. Set handicap markets let you bet with the ability gap between two players in mind. If Viktor Axelsen is up against a lower-ranked opponent, the odds on an Axelsen win may be too low to be appealing – but a -1.5 set handicap on Axelsen can offer far more attractive odds while opening up more betting options.
The Malaysia Open is one of the most anticipated events on the global badminton calendar, and for local players at 96ace, it is the biggest betting event of the year. The Badminton Hall of Fame at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur has witnessed some of the most epic matches in the sport's history, and the extraordinary home crowd support often gives Malaysian players an edge – a factor worth considering when you analyse the Malaysia Open betting markets at 96ace.
Beyond the Malaysia Open, 96ace offering full coverage of BWF World Tour Super 1000 events such as the All England Open, Indonesia Open, China Open and Japan Open; Super 750 events including the Korea Open, Denmark Open and French Open; as well as the Thomas, Uber and Sudirman Cup team championships. This means there is almost every week throughout the year where you can find high-quality badminton matches to bet on at our platform.
One aspect often overlooked by newer bettors is the importance of understanding individual playing styles. Badminton is not just about rankings – a lower-ranked player can have a style that causes specific problems for a higher-ranked opponent. For example, players who excel at net play tend to be more effective against those who rely heavily on smashes from the back. Knowledge of head-to-head records and playing styles can give you a significant edge when making betting decisions at 96ace.
For doubles fans — whether MD, WD, or XD — doubles badminton betting offers a completely different dynamic. Partnership coordination, communication under pressure, and how a pair handles critical moments like deuce or match point are all factors that can shape the outcome without necessarily being reflected in BWF rankings. A newly formed pair can outperform an established one that has lost its chemistry, and that can present exceptional value opportunities in the betting markets at 96ace.
"Badminton is more than a sport to us in Malaysia – it is our identity. And when Lee Zii Jia or Aaron Chia steps onto the court, the whole nation feels every single rally as their own."
When it comes to payouts, all badminton betting winnings at 96ace can be withdrawn quickly through local Malaysian payment methods – Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, ShopeePay, Boost and FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks). Withdrawals are typically processed within 5 to 15 minutes, so you can celebrate your winnings the moment the match ends. For 96ace VIP members, withdrawals are handled with higher priority and can be completed even faster.
In short, 96ace is the ideal badminton betting platform for Malaysian fans who want to make watching their favourite sport even more exciting and rewarding. With extensive markets, competitive odds, responsive live betting and a secure platform, 96ace understands that badminton is more than just a sport to Malaysians – it is woven into the soul of the nation.
